The Museum of the Culture of the Olive Tree is part of the “Hacienda La Laguna” Complex, located in Puente del Obispo, eight kilometers from Baeza. With an area of more than 4,000 square meters, it is the largest oil museum in Spain. It contains models of old oil mills in which the three fundamental processes of oil production are collected: grinding, pressing and decantation-storage.
The museum, considered an Asset of Cultural Interest, is divided into several spaces; three buildings that house different models of oil mills, a garden with varieties of olive trees from various countries and the winery.
Throughout the itinerary of the visit, the steps to obtain the oil are shown, from the most traditional methods of growing the olive tree, to the modern marketing and packaging processes.
